Original 1987 Yamaha RX5 Drum Machine. This was Yamaha’s Flagship Drum Machine and the same model used by several artists like a-ha, Prince, Madonna, Vangelis and more. Item has been restored and functions.

What’s been done:

• New high quality audio capacitors in power supply & cartridge ports and power supply of second board
• New Voltage Regulators
• New battery and modification made for easy replacement of battery in the future
• Keyboard was dismantled and each key washed and contacts were cleaned with contact cleaner
• Both boards were washed in dishwasher so the unit is clean inside and out
• Sliders were all dismantled and cleaned thoroughly
• Casing was washed thoroughly

NOTE: While the unit was completely restored I don’t own any cartridges to test the cartridge ports.
