Nikko CD Player Model NCD 950R from 1993

What’s been done:

• All new high quality electrolytic capacitors from Nichicon
• Replaced belt for tray opening
• Cleaned CD optical unit
• New grease on CD gears
• Boards cleaned with 99% alcohol
• Cleaned power switch with electrical contact cleaner
• Resoldered front panel display and light board
• Entire unit was dismantled and thoroughly cleaned

NOTE: No schematics are available. Unit was adjusted manually and tested with both regular CDs and CD-Rs. For the CD-Rs I found they work best with 2X burning speed.
